About the estate
The Boccella estate has its origins in 1960 when Giuseppe Boccella returned to Castelfranci and began planting Aglianico vines. In 2005, the siblings Raffaele, Angela, Giovanni, and Lucia turned their passion into a profession and presented their own wine. The family organically manages the entire production process from manual harvesting to hand-bottling. Annually, around 15,000 to 20,000 bottles of wine are produced under the Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC and Taurasi DOCG designations. Distribution reaches from Castelfranci in Alta Irpinia to Northern Europe and America.
