About the estate
The Bessererhof estate is located in Fiè allo Sciliar at the foot of the Schlern plateau in South Tyrol and is currently managed by the fourth and fifth generations of the Mair family. The vineyards extend from the estate itself up to Funes Valley and are characterized by steep slopes that require intensive manual labor. The portfolio includes white and red wines such as Pinot bianco, Gewürztraminer, and Zweigelt. Cultivation follows natural viticulture practices without the use of herbicides and fertilizers. Annual production ranges from 50,000 to 60,000 bottles.
