About the estate

The Bernhart estate is a family-run winery located in Stadecken-Elsheim within the Rheinhessen wine region. The vineyards are situated in sites such as Bockstein, Blume, Adelpfad, and Römerberg, covering a total area of 14 hectares. Approximately 40 percent of the vineyards are planted with red grape varieties including Portugieser, Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, and Syrah, alongside white varieties like Riesling, Sylvaner, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay. Quality management begins in the vineyard through targeted foliage removal, green harvesting, and selective manual picking. In the cellar, white wines undergo temperature-controlled fermentation, while red wines are fermented on the skins for several weeks.
