About the estate
The Baron de Ley estate was founded in 1985 in the Rioja DOCa following the concept of French châteaux and is located on a historic property featuring a 16th-century monastery. The winery manages around 600 hectares of estate-owned vineyards and focuses on producing wines such as Reserva and Gran Reserva. For the maturation and ageing processes, the facilities include a large barrel room with a capacity for 30,000 barrels as well as concrete and stainless steel tanks. The history of the site dates back to the 16th century when Benedictine monks first produced wine there.
