About the estate
The Barkland Pincészet estate is located in Tarcal within the Tokaj wine region. The foundation for the winery was laid in 2003 when owner dr. Barkóczi István purchased a first parcel in Tállyá, later expanding the vineyards to Tarcal. Today, the estate cultivates a total of 7.5 hectares of vineyards across sites such as Sípos, Dukát, Kövesd, and Mandulás. The grape variety portfolio includes Furmint, Hárslevelű, Sárgamuskotály, Kabar, and Zéta. The product range consists primarily of dry and off-dry wines, alongside cuvées, semi-sparkling wines, sparkling wines, and sweet wine specialties.
