About the estate

The Barbara Öhlzelt estate in Zöbing in the Kamptal region was founded in 2004 and is run by the winemaker as a newcomer to the industry. Vinification takes place in a traditional cellar at the foot of the Blauenstein vineyard, where manual labour plays a major role. The portfolio includes the Kitz light wine line, regional and village wines, single-vineyard wines from the Blauenstein site, and powerful crus from the premier single vineyards of Heiligenstein, Kogelberg, and Lamm. The range is complemented by sparkling wines such as the classic vintage sparkling wine Barbara Öhlzelt Brut made from Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, as well as Kamptal Verjus. The winemaker is supported by her husband Karl Schwillinsky, and the wines are now available through numerous distribution partners nationally and internationally.
