About the estate

The Azienda Agricola Purovino estate was founded in 2008 in Montiano and produces wines under the Maremma Toscana DOC, Maremma Vermentino DOC, and Toscana IGT denominations. Valentina and Cesare left the city to cultivate grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Vermentino, Petit Verdot, Fiano, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pugnitello in the hills of Maremma near the Tyrrhenian Sea. The winery carried out its first harvest in 2015. Farming practices follow organic agriculture without synthetic chemicals, featuring manual soil cultivation and hand-harvesting of the grapes. The production focuses on a proprietary method for vinification with a low sulfite content derived naturally from yeast activity during fermentation.

The eno directory lists 8 wines, mostly from Pugnitello and Vermentino. The estate sells to retail.
