About the estate

The Azienda Agraria Paolo Petrilli estate is located in Lucera in the Apulia region and has been farmed using organic methods since 1988. The eleven hectares of vineyards are situated on calcareous soils at an altitude of 300 meters, cultivating exclusively native grape varieties with a predominance of Nero di Troia. For vinification, the winery relies on spontaneous fermentation in wooden truncated conical vats, manual punch-downs, and a complete absence of technological intervention. Alongside wine, the estate also produces organically grown durum wheat and tomatoes. The history of the property spans generations and is closely tied to the ancient settlement of Motta della Regina.
