About the estate

The Ascevi Luwa estate was founded in 1972 by Mariano and Loredana in San Floriano del Collio, and is run today as a family-run business alongside their children Walter and Luana and their grandson Denis. The winery now encompasses thirty hectares of vineyards across the Collio and Friuli Isonzo denominations, sheltered by the Alps to the north and moderated by the Adriatic Sea to the south. The soils feature Eocene marl and sandstone known as ponca, as well as alluvial clay mixed with red gravel and pebbles. The diverse portfolio includes international and indigenous grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Grigio, Friulano, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
