About the estate
The Álvarez y Díez winery was founded in 1941 by Modesto Álvarez Romero and Eladio Díez Ossorio in Nava del Rey. The estate cultivates one hundred hectares of its own vineyards and preserves a historic underground cellar dating back centuries. The production focuses on the native Verdejo grape variety, which is vinified using modern cellar technology and temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wines are characterized by freshness, fruitiness, and a balanced acidity, and are currently exported to more than fifteen countries.
