About the estate

The Altmann estate in Trasdorf is managed by Matthias Altmann, who produced the winery's first bottled wine in 2007. Today, the estate cultivates 3.5 hectares of vineyards in the Traisental wine region. The vineyards are characterized by massive loess deposits and are farmed biodynamically. The main grape varieties cultivated by the estate include Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Traminer, and Zweigelt, with some vines being up to 70 years old. In the cellar, complex, unfiltered, and untreated wines are produced, forming a broad portfolio ranging from classic wines to single-vineyard and natural wines.

The eno directory lists 16 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
