About the estate
The Alma Carraovejas enterprise has its origins in 1987 with the establishment of Pago de Carraovejas in Peñafiel, reflecting a decades-long trajectory. Spanning a vineyard area of 25 hectares at an average altitude of 850 meters, the estate cultivates Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Vineyard management adapts to the local topography through traditional valley viticulture and mountain viticulture featuring steep slopes and terraced systems. Winemaking processes incorporate gravity-fed transport, native yeasts and bacteria, and a delicate wood maturation. The project produces wines within the Ribera del Duero, Ribeiro, and Vinos de Madrid denominations.
