Le domaine Ridgeview Wine Estate a été fondé en 1995 par Mike et Christine Roberts à Ditchling, dans le East Sussex. Conscients que les sols crayeux des South Downs partagent la même veine géologique que la Champagne, ils ont planté du Chardonnay, du Pinot Noir et du Pinot Meunier pour produire des vins effervescents élaborés selon la méthode traditionnelle. Le domaine associe traditions familiales et pratiques certifiées durables, tant à la vigne qu'au chai. Les installations comprennent des caves souterraines à température naturellement régulée, des systèmes d'énergie solaire et des initiatives de traitement des eaux usées. Les vins effervescents de Ridgeview sont servis lors d'événements d'État prestigieux et sur des scènes internationales.
