About the estate
The Wölk estate in Altlichtenwarth in the Weinviertel region cultivates vineyards on a steep southern slope featuring calcareous loess and marl-clay soils. Gabi and Gerhard Reitmayer view winemaking as a voyage of discovery, cultivating traditional varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Zweigelt alongside site-specific expressions like those from the Alten Berge vineyards. A notable specialty is Rosenmuskateller, which the winery was among the first in Austria to plant as an experimental vineyard. Their portfolio encompasses white and red wines, Weinviertel DAC, Gemischter Satz, specialties such as Sauvignon Blanc Rosenstock, and sparkling wines.
