About the estate
The traditional Wimmer estate has been run as a family business in the twelfth generation since 1665. The vineyards are located on sunny hills east of Frauendorf an der Schmida and on the foothills of the Manhartsberg in Maissau within the Weinviertel DAC region. There, the family cultivates a selection of white and red grape varieties with extensive experience and dedication. The vineyards are managed with care in harmony with nature to produce vintage-typical and fruity wines. Distribution is handled directly by the estate as well as through delivery tours.
The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Roter Veltliner. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Germany.
