Wijndomein Ravenstein

About the estate

Wijndomein Ravenstein is a historic estate in Wervik with roots as a fief dating back to the fifteenth century. Today, the farm is managed by the fourth generation of the family, who planted the first vines in 2017 following a career in horticulture. Covering a vineyard area of two and a half hectares, the estate is situated on the south-facing slopes of the Amerikaberg. The soil consists of sandy loam with flint blocks and clay loam in the deeper layers. The viticultural approach avoids herbicides and focuses on limiting the yield per vine.
