Weinwurm

About the estate

The Weinwurm family winery is located in the northeastern part of the Weinviertel and is run in the third generation by Georg Weinwurm together with his wife Lisa. The estate cultivates 28 hectares of vineyards planted with numerous red and white grape varieties. In the 1950s, the grandfather planted the first vineyard, laying the foundation for today's variety of grapes. Producing under the Weinviertel DAC denomination, the portfolio includes classics such as Grüner Veltliner as well as various international and traditional varieties. The wines reflect the character of the region and the Pannonian climate.

The eno directory lists 27 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Zweigelt. The estate sells to retail and distributors. Export markets include Belgium, Czechia, Germany and Netherlands.
