About the estate
The Willems-Hofmann estate was established in June 2006 through the marriage of Carolin and Jürgen Hofmann, who since then have jointly managed their parental wineries from Appenheim in Rhenish Hesse. The modern building in Appenheim houses the cellar, bottle storage, wine shop, and the family residence. As a member of the Federal Association of Organic Viticulture, the estate operates strictly organically without artificial fertilizers and synthetic substances, utilizing a largely closed production cycle. The working method focuses on vital soils, the preservation of biotope diversity, and the avoidance of genetic engineering to produce individual wines. The winery looks back on a traditional history in which the Willems-Willems estate has been managed by women for five generations.
