About the estate

The Thörle estate looks back on a family winemaking tradition that has existed in Saulheim in Rheinhessen since the 16th century. The vineyards are characterized by limestone-rich soils originating from marine deposits of the Tertiary Rheinhessen primeval sea. Among the estate's highest-quality single sites are Saulheimer Hölle, Saulheimer Probstey, and Saulheimer Schlossberg. Organic cultivation and an intensive engagement with the specific conditions of the sites shape the working methods of the winery. The wines are crafted from strictly selected grapes and reflect the potential of this historical origin.
