About the estate

The Weingut - Tenuta - Schloss Englar estate looks back on a long history dating back to 1111, which is closely linked to the noble Khuen-Belasi family. The vineyards cover an area of ten hectares on gently east- and south-facing plots at an altitude of 450 to 550 meters above sea level. The soils consist of limestone gravel and porphyry weathering soils, which, combined with strong night-time temperature fluctuations, create ideal conditions for viticulture. Operations take place around the historic castle in South Tyrol, where traditional winemaking and culture come together.
