About the estate
The Schleimer winery is located in the Olewig valley in Trier on the Moselle and is run as a family business in the third generation. The history of viticulture at this location dates back to the 11th century, while the estate itself was founded in 1928. A total of nine different grape varieties are cultivated on 3.5 hectares of vineyards. The most important variety is Riesling, complemented by Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Rivaner, Kerner, Gewürztraminer, and red varieties such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Dornfelder. All grapes are harvested by hand, and the wines are pressed, matured, and bottled directly on the estate.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc. The estate sells to horeca.
