About the estate

The Weingut Schimpf estate is located in Altdorf in the southern Palatinate region near the German Wine Route and the Palatinate Forest. The winery is run by the third generation of the family. The vineyards are cultivated with great care and extensive manual labor, including grape splitting several weeks after flowering to concentrate nutrients. In the cellar, red wines are aged exclusively in wooden barrels, while white wines undergo a gentle and cool fermentation. The estate produces high-quality wines and was ranked among the top 100 best wine producers by the DLG Federal Wine Award in 2025.
