About the estate

The Weingut Scherner-Kleinhanß estate in Flörsheim-Dalsheim is managed in the ninth generation by Klaus R. Scherner and has been family-owned since 1726. Classic grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Noir are cultivated across twelve hectares using natural farming methods. The warm and dry microclimate in the south of Rheinhessen, combined with calcareous soils, provides the foundation for mineral-driven wines. The estate focuses on low yields, selective hand-harvesting, and gentle cellar practices with extended yeast contact. Parts of the historical farm buildings are listed under heritage protection.
