About the estate
The Weingut Kronz estate is a traditional family-run winery located in Fastrau in a side valley of the Moselle, having operated for several generations since 1887. The vineyards are situated in prime sites across Fastrau, Fell and Riol, featuring slate weathering soils as well as red sandstone formations containing clay and sand. The cultivated grape varieties include Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rivaner, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir and Merlot. The vineyards are farmed as sustainably as possible without the use of insecticides to foster a functional ecosystem. In the cellar, the grapes are processed gently, with Riesling fermented spontaneously and maturation taking place mostly in stainless steel tanks alongside some wooden barrels.

Unser Grauburgunder erreicht jedes Jahr eine sehr hohe Reife. Dadurch schmeckt der Wein sehr weich. Der Grauburgunder hat meist einen etwas höheren Alkoholgehalt, wodurch er sehr dicht ist.
