Weingut Hess

About the estate

The Weingut Hess estate is based in Mörstadt in the Rheinhessen wine region and is jointly managed by two generations of the family. The vines grow in the vineyards around Mörstadt as well as in the neighboring municipalities of Monsheim and Flörsheim-Dalsheim. White wine accounts for approximately eighty percent of production, featuring Riesling, classic Burgundy varieties, and aromatic varieties, complemented by red varieties such as Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Merlot, and Cabernet. The winery operates according to certified organic guidelines, avoiding synthetic crop protection products and artificial fertilizers. Targeted vineyard cover cropping is used to promote biodiversity and conserve water resources.
