About the estate
The Harald Scholl estate in Gau-Heppenheim in Rhenish Hesse cultivates 8.5 hectares of vineyards on calcareous clay-marl soils and clayey loam in the Alzeyer Hills. The traditional family-owned winery produces approximately 45,000 to 55,000 liters of wine annually from regional, international, and fungus-resistant PIWI varieties. Cultivation follows strict biodynamic standards with both Demeter and ECOVIN certifications. The approach emphasizes careful natural vineyard management and natural cellar maturation without technical manipulations. The winemaker and graduate engineer for viticulture and enology has personally managed the estate for over three decades.
The eno directory lists 19 wines, mostly from Müller-Thurgau and Riesling.
