About the estate

The Weingut GEORGE estate is a young family business founded in 1993 in Geisenheim in the Rheingau region, which is now managed in the second generation. The focus is on terroir-driven Rieslings as well as the grape varieties Pinot Noir, Albariño, and Chardonnay. The estate wines originate from Geisenheim sites, while the complex single-vineyard wines grow in steep Rüdesheimer sites on quartzite and loess soils, among others. The winery works closely with nature with an emphasis on manual labor and ages the wines partly in wooden barrels and on the lees. The historic family-owned Villa Clara serves as the center for events and tastings.

The eno directory lists 17 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir.
