About the estate

The Fitz-Schneider estate looks back on a family tradition in winemaking spanning more than three centuries. The business places great emphasis on preserving the soil, flora, and fauna, as well as planting grape varieties according to their ideal soils, with Riesling thriving on sandy red sandstone weathered soils and Pinot varieties on sandy loam. Numerous manual tasks in the vineyard, yield reductions, and strict selection during harvest are employed to achieve the highest quality from the grapes. The portfolio ranges from light table wines and engaging all-rounders to full-bodied character wines. The family-run business is managed through intergenerational collaboration.
