About the estate
The Dötsch-Haupt winery along the Moselle river cultivates eleven hectares of steep and steepest vineyards in top sites around Kobern. In 1983, Franz Dötsch took over his parents' estate and merged it with the Heinrich Haupt winery in 1986. The historic slate terraces are primarily planted with Riesling, supplemented by Pinot Noir. Winemaking is conducted entirely without additives apart from sulfites, combining traditional practices with modern cellar techniques. Today, the family estate is jointly managed by the next generation.
The eno directory lists 13 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir.
