About the estate
The Diel winery is located in Biebelnheim in the Rheinhessen region and looks back on a long winemaking tradition dating back to 1647. The family estate's vines grow predominantly on weathered limestone soils, which impart a distinct minerality to the wines. The cultivation focuses on classic white grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Chardonnay, alongside an increasing emphasis on fungus-resistant grape varieties. The cultivation of red grape varieties also has a tradition, with the red wines fermented using traditional methods in vats. The production encompasses characterful wines that result from the careful cultivation of the vineyards and the dedication of all generations.
