About the estate

The Weingut Dettweiler Karolinenhof estate based in Wintersheim was built in 1709 and has been family-owned since 1801. Today, the winery is jointly managed by the seventh and eighth generations and cultivates 15 hectares of vineyards. The soils of the sites range from deep loess-loam to limestone soils. In the cellar, the quality wines mature in wooden barrels, barriques, and modern stainless steel tanks. The portfolio includes wine as well as sparkling wine and juice.

The eno directory lists 19 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
