About the estate

The traditional winery Berres-Mendel in Ürzig in the Middle Moselle region looks back on a long history dating back to its foundation in 1510. Covering 3.5 hectares of vineyards, the family-managed estate cultivates steep slate sites such as Ürziger Würzgarten and Ürziger Goldwingert. Riesling stands at the center of wine production, harvested entirely by hand through meticulous selective picking. The wines are characterized by their mineral profile and fine fruit expression. Vinification takes place gently in the cellar, where the wines remain on the lees until a late filtration.
