About the estate
Founded in 1924, the Weingut August Kesseler estate originates in Assmannshausen and has developed into a leading winery in the Rheingau. The estate cultivates around 40 hectares of vineyards located exclusively in VDP classified First Growths and Great Growths, such as the Assmannshäuser Höllenberg and the Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg. The winery is dedicated entirely to the Pinot Noir and Riesling grape varieties, which thrive on slate-dominated steep slopes and loamy soils. Characterful wines and sparkling wines are crafted to reflect the specific terroirs of the region.
