About the estate

The Weinbau Harald Schenk estate is located in Harxheim, Rheinhessen, and is managed by Harald Schenk. The winery cultivates vines across four major vineyard sites in Rheinhessen, namely Sankt Alban, Gutes Domtal, Güldenmorgen, and Krötenbrunnen. The soils consist of clay, loess, loam, and sand, alongside mineral-rich earth containing limestone, rhyolite, or quartzite. The portfolio features white wines such as Silvaner, Riesling, Scheurebe, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Ortega, Cabernet Blanc, and Chardonnay, as well as an Optima Beerenauslese. In the vineyards, the estate avoids glyphosate and herbicides, relies entirely on mechanical soil management, and carries out hand-harvesting.
