Weinbau Dietl

About the estate

The Weinbau Dietl estate is located in the immediate vicinity of Schloss Kornberg in the municipality of Riegersburg and looks back on a history that began in 1930 with the acquisition of a former estate farm. Since the early 1990s, the castle vineyards have been revitalized, and the winery is now run in the second generation by Andrea and Andreas Kessler-Dietl. On a contiguous vineyard area of 7.5 hectares in the Ried Scheibelberg monopole site, characterful wines with individual names and their own stories are produced. The south-, southeast-, and southwest-facing vineyards, with slopes of up to 48 percent at an altitude of around 330 meters, feature deep soils with sand, gravel, pebbles, and loam. All grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and vinified with great care into high-quality wines.

The eno directory lists 24 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Chardonnay. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
