About the estate

The organic estate W2 Bioweinbau Waltl manages two hectares of vineyards in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in Carinthia, which are organically certified under the designation Riede Herzoghof. The winery focuses exclusively on fungus-resistant PIWI grape varieties such as Muscaris, Souvignier Gris, Cabernet Blanc, and Cabernet Jura. Agricultural work is carried out largely by hand without the use of chemical-synthetic plant protection products or artificial fertilizers. The product range includes classic wines alongside natural wines, orange wines, and Pet Nat. The initiative was realized with the support of crowdfunding.

The eno directory lists 11 wines, mostly from Muscaris and Souvignier Gris. The estate sells to retail.
