About the estate
The W. Marzolph unterm Grasdach estate looks back on a long family history with origins in the wine trade and early generations working as coopers and innkeepers. From 1849 onwards, a family member first worked as a winemaker in Wollmesheim, establishing the wine-growing tradition of the business. Following the war, the remaining fields and vineyards were initially leased out before a new outfarm was built outside the village in 1991. The building was constructed according to building biology principles and features a hall with a large grass roof. Today, the estate practices organic viticulture and cultivates areas planted with grape varieties such as Riesling.
