About the estate
The Von der Vogelwaide enterprise was founded in 2019 by Daniel Vogelwaid and Michael Donabaum in Spitz in the Wachau. Following training and practical experience in various international and domestic wineries, the founders began cultivating initially hard-to-reach and fallow vineyards in the Wachau. The estate works biodynamically and produces characterful white wines and cuvées from grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Neuburger, and Chardonnay. The wines belong to the Wachau DAC denomination.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The estate sells to horeca and distributors. Export markets include France, Germany, Czechia and Italy.
