About the estate
The Vino Žorž estate has its roots in Slap in the Vipava Valley, where the family manages a historic cellar built in 1696. Today, the family-run winery cultivates 12 hectares of vineyards and produces between 50,000 and 60,000 litres of wine annually. The vineyards are planted with a variety of red and white grape varieties, including the indigenous varieties Zelen and Pinela. Since 2015, the farm has operated as an organic producer, combining traditional experience with modern winemaking equipment. The younger generation continues the longstanding winemaking tradition by connecting professional expertise with the knowledge of older family members.
