About the estate
The Vinařství Škarecký winery is run by three generations of the Škarecký family in Vracov, with a history dating back to the 1930s. The estate encompasses approximately two hectares of vineyards in the Vinohrady u Panny Marie site within the Morava wine region and the Slovácko subregion. The portfolio features grape varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Müller-Thurgau, Grüner Veltliner, Blauer Portugieser, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and Alibernet. Winemaking avoids chemical agents entirely, relying instead on natural fermentation processes. The traditional country wines achieve their distinctive character through long-term maturation in acacia and oak barrels.
