About the estate
The Vinařství Kvapil estate is a small family-run business located in the South Moravian village of Ivaň in the Morava region. The winemaking culture relies on traditions and manual labour combined with a personal relationship to the soil and nature. The vineyards are situated in the single local vineyard designation named Aeibis, a name adopted from a 1714 municipal seal. The mostly south-facing plots feature lighter, sandy and sandy-loam soils. Protected by a river terrace and influenced by the nearby reservoir, the location provides favourable microclimatic conditions primarily for the cultivation of white grape varieties.
