About the estate
The Vignobles Gitton Père et Fils estate was founded in 1945 by Huguette and Marcel Gitton starting from half a hectare of vines, and is managed today by the family. The winery currently spans 33 hectares of vineyards across the AOC Coteaux du Giennois, AOC Pouilly Fumé, AOC Pouilly-sur-Loire, and AOC Sancerre appellations. The vineyards feature diverse soils including limestone, flint, and marl, with the oldest vines dating back to 1952. With an average vine age of 45 years, the grapes are vinified separately by terroir to highlight the individual characteristics of each plot. The estate's wines have been exported to over 30 countries for forty years.
