About the estate

The Trautsamwieser estate, located in the Wachau region, is run by the Trautsamwieser family, who manage the winery with great dedication and passion. The team consists of Birgit, Karin, and Sepp Trautsamwieser, who handle sales, the traditional wine tavern, and the work in the cellar, vineyards, and tractor. The estate cultivates sites such as the well-known Achleiten vineyard with its diverse weathered soils consisting of paragneiss, migmatite-amphibolite, and Gföhler gneiss. The wines are produced under the Wachau DAC denomination, with a particular focus on the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling grape varieties.
