About the estate

The Tenute Rubino estate was founded in the 1980s by Tommaso Rubino in the Salento region and is today managed in the second generation by his son Luigi and his wife Romina. Spread across five distinct estates, the vineyards are located on historic soils where winemaking dates back to Roman times. The production focuses on traditional Apulian grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Susumaniello, a historic varietal brought back from near abandonment. Through a consistent focus on quality, the winery has become a notable representative of modern winemaking in Apulia. The estate's labels are exported to more than twenty countries worldwide.

The eno directory lists 22 wines, mostly from Susumaniello and Primitivo. The estate sells to horeca, retail and importers. Export markets include Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Netherlands.
