About the estate

The Tenute Perda Rubia estate was founded in 1949 by Mario Mereu in Ogliastra, Sardinia, becoming the first winery in the province of Nuoro to bottle its own wine. Since the beginning, the focus has been on the Cannonau grape variety, and the company has processed exclusively estate-grown grapes since the early 1980s. The 20 hectares of vineyards are located on soils of granitic origin on the east coast of the island and are cultivated according to traditional agronomic techniques. In 2014, the third generation took over the management and initiated a renewal of the business. Harvest is partly done by hand, followed by vinification primarily in stainless steel tanks and partly in oak barrels.

The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Grenache and Vermentino.
