About the estate

The Cantina Santa Maria Di Palma was founded in 1959 by one hundred winegrowers in the Nurra region of Sardinia and has grown into one of the most important cooperatives on the island and in Italy. Today, around 300 members cultivate over 800 hectares of vineyards located on gentle hills and plains near the coast of Alghero. The grape variety portfolio includes traditional native varieties such as Vermentino di Sardegna, Cannonau di Sardegna, Cagnulari, and Monica di Sardegna, alongside international varieties like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The estate places a strong emphasis on sustainability, generating a significant portion of its energy through photovoltaic systems. The wines and sparkling wines are exported to over 50 countries worldwide.

The eno directory lists 13 wines, mostly from Vermentino and Grenache. The estate sells to retail and horeca. Export markets include United Kingdom and Germany.
