The Tenuta Maffone estate was founded in 2009 by Bruno and Eliana in the upper Valle Arroscia in Liguria. Located in Pieve di Teco, specifically in the hamlet of Acquetico, the family-run winery cultivates old estate-owned vineyards ranging from 60 to 100 years of age at altitudes between 500 and 700 meters. The focus is on the native grape varieties Ormeasco and Pigato, which are crafted into various styles including classics, traditional method sparkling wine, and passito. Viticulture is conducted in a traditional and environmentally respectful manner without the use of herbicides or chemical fertilizers.
