About the estate

The Tenuta del Buonamico was founded in 1964 in Montecarlo, Tuscany, and has developed into a major winery in the Plain of Lucca. Out of a total property of about 100 hectares, the estate encompasses 45 hectares of vineyards planted with native and international grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. Following the takeover by the Fontana family, the estate was modernized, which included the addition of an in-house sparkling wine production facility utilizing the Charmat-Martinotti method. Today, the portfolio comprises white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines, which are crafted in the estate's own production and cellar facilities.

The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Vermentino and Viognier. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
