About the estate

The family-run Skrabski estate is located on the northern shore of Lake Balaton in Hungary and is led by Fruzsina Skrabski. The history of the winery began in 1970 when her parents discovered overgrown vineyards on the barren Les-hegy hill and renovated a dilapidated cellar. Today, the estate manages twelve hectares of its own vineyards on heavily calcareous and stony soils with an almost Mediterranean microclimate. The cultivated grape varieties include the historic Barátcsuha, Kékfrankos, Olaszrizling, Furmint, and Riesling. The wines are crafted in a modernly equipped, roughly 150-year-old earth cellar with a clear focus on uncompromising quality.
