About the estate

The organic Schmidl estate in Dürnstein in the Wachau region has been run as a family business for around six generations. Sustainable and organic farming shapes the characteristic wines of the winery. Well-known single vineyards such as Kellerberg, Wunderburg, Supperin, and Küss den Pfennig form the basis for precise and mineral wines. The vines are rooted in barren primary rock and sandy loess soils. The focus is on classic varieties such as Veltliner and Riesling.
